Cony Larsen, Founder and CEO of Ammee’s Babies, began her “Blankets for Babies” project after viewing a documentary on Honduran newborns that were sent home from the hospital wrapped in newspaper. The country had been devastated by severe flooding which left the babies without blankets. She also learned of similar conditions existing in Guatemala, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador as well as other countries. Cony decided Ammee’s Babies would be committed to making the world a better and softer place for under privileged children. She took it upon herself to find a way to make sure all newborns were received into the world with a warm blanket.
